The 70th Anniversary of The Children’s House Primary Celebrations
We were very proud to celebrate the 70th anniversary of our school in great style. Celebrations included:
- Stones painted to represent all the nationalities of the school
- Visit from past pupils, Siobhán and Gráinne Cuffe to talk to the Senior Class about being artists
- The 70th Anniversary Gala Celebration attended by over 100 people – current parents, staff and alumni at The Royal St George Yacht Club
- A powerpoint presentation of photos from the last 70 years from the building of the school to the present
- The unearthing of a 1952 cine film that we had digitised which shows the First days of the school
- The burying of a time capsule with letters/ messages/ drawings and some small objects from the children of today. We hope many of our children will return to the spot in 30 years ‘time to witness the re-opening of the time capsule!
Here’s to the next 70 years and beyond!

We were delighted to host our second Tea Party for our distant and recent and soon-to-be Alumni on May 18th.

We were delighted to host our first Tea Party for our distant and recent and soon-to-be Alumni on June 8th. The sun shined down as people enjoyed seeing the school again and reconnecting with some old faces from as far back as the sixties. We plan to run this Alumni event on an annual basis, so if you couldn’t make it this year, we hope to see you next year
