The Children’s House Primary functions as a charitable trust. It has been a landmark Montessori school in Ireland since it was founded by Veronica Ryan in 1952, following extensive research and collaboration with the global Montessori family. The school has been part of the Stillorgan, Dublin, Irish and International Community over the years; retaining its status as an independent, self-funded and non-for-profit Montessori school.

Through the hard work of the committed staff and community the school has grown from a 2 classroom school catering to children aged 3-9 to a 4 classroom school with 82 children of ages 3-12. The children have graduated smoothly and successfully transitioned over the years to many of the Secondary schools across Dublin.

We greatly appreciate and value the support from our wider community of past pupils, parents and families and individuals who are passionate about the importance of Montessori education and the remarkable work of our independent school.

The generosity of our doners and fundraising patrons over the years continue to enable our school to thrive and expand our reach within primary education in Ireland.

We continue to ask for your support, and welcome any donations you can make at any time.

Thank you.

All funds raised will are used to enhance the sustainability of the school building (designed by Arthur Douglas as a purpose-built design in 1952), and its facilities for future generations to come. The Building Fund will invest in improved class room space, sports and play areas both indoor and outdoor.

The Children’s House Primary and its wonderful facilities therefore continue to be improved and developed for the children of the present and the many generations to follow.
